Arches National Park, Utah

Serene and I went on a road trip to southern Utah during Spring break. We drove directly to Moab to visit both Arches and Canyonlands National Parks, and then worked our way back westwards to Capitol Reef, Bryce Canyon, and Zion National Parks.

  Delicate Arch

We did a number of short hikes on my first day at Arches, the first of which was to Delicate Arch.

Fiery Furnace and Salt Valley Overlooks

Driving further into the park to Devils Garden, we stopped at Fiery Furnace and Salt Valley overlooks.

  Sand Dune and Broken Arch

The first two hikes in Devils Garden were 0.3 and 1.3 mile hikes to Sand Dune Arch and Broken Arch.

  Devils Garden

Our final stop of the day was a series of hikes through Devils Garden to see Skyline, Tunnel, Pine, Landscape, Wall, Double O, and Partition Arch.

  Balanced Rock

The windows section, including Balanced Rock, looks best during the last hours of the day.

  Garden of Eden

The Garden of Eden is in the Windows Section.

  The Windows

The North and South Windows can be seen outside of Arches National Park along the highway.

  Park Avenue

We did the 2 mile round trip hike through Park Avenue on the second day before going to Canyonlands.
