Brief Update -- 5/22/96

• Chen Yanhua gave birth to a lovely boy in Feburary, proudly adding herself to the growing number of mothers in EFZ 84.
  
  
• Wang Yili 's husband has graduated from California institute of Technology with a Ph. D. in physics, and is now working for Morgan Stanley in Japan. Oh, not to be outdone by Chen Yanhua , she gave birth to her child this year also.
  
  
• Yang Yi has two children now, a boy and a girl. Is she the only EFZer that has two children?
  
  
• Ding Xiajun has graduated from the MBA program at University of Texas, Austin. He is now working for GE in the auditing department, being in an envious position of traveling around the world. In the last six months, he has stayed in Europe for three months, and Singapore and Japan for the other three months.
  
  
• Probably the happiest person on earth now is Mao Qihua who has just made a new girlfriend. Mao is having the busiest time in his entire life, according to himself. The couple made a fabulous two week trip to Europe during the spring break, having dinners with Qian Yujun. and Wang Jin
  
  
• Speaking of Wang Jin , his wife Sheng Lei has just graduated from London School of Economics, and landed a fat job as a consultant in London. The couple's attention is not at their jobs, however. Their son, Wang Ruifu, is all what they talk about.
  
  
• Jin Danqing has been married for more than two years now. I found this out when accidentally bumping into a friend of his on the internet. His wife is at UC, Berkeley, and he will join her in this summer. You know what Danqing will say when he sees this? "Bu2 Shi4 De ya" :-)
  
  
• Liu Junhe will graduate from Stanford University in three weeks. He is looking for jobs. So if you know anybody that needs a computer person, please let him know.
  
  
• How many people among us can afford to go to Hawaii once a year, have a high stressful job as a computer consultant, go to Berkeley every night for the MBA degree, and still find time to play eighty points once a week? You go it --only our old lady Song Jun . In fact, he will have some additional responsibilities pretty soon since his parents are coming into town in two weeks.

  we've had some good time here lately - fat from fr, yingrong & panli from jp and tomchun from somewhere else all back in town learning the new shanghai local skill of "daojiangwu" - even our reverent fudan prof. chen joined, and then guzhihao w/ his freshy new wife, and then me.

  I am now working specifically on Asian market development. I have been extremely busy travelling around in Asia and still try not to miss the final examinations for my MBA Degree.

  Busy at the moment. Have a lot of plans for the next coming one week: first to Milano for a visit, then to Berlin for our general meeting. Doesn't sound too bad, does it ?
