palate
authors
Lisa Chan, Elena Chang, Vincent Pham, Walter Shen | CS247a
| Mar 2003
Palate was designed for an HCI project titled "Picasso's
Robot" where the goal is design an expressive art tool. Our
product combines the art of cooking with painting. Palate uses
cooking technique and ingredients to create abstract visual art.
This application is for children ages 5-8 years old. We ran two
user tests at a nearby elementary after school program that contributed
to the evolution of our design.

constellation guide
author
Lisa Chan | CS247a
| Feb 2003
This Constellation Guide attempts to teach people about the constellations
in the sky. It is not fully implemented but gives an idea of how
a fully developed interactive constellation guide would work.
It differs from other programs by allowing the learner to "practice"
identifying the constellations.
