My Life at Stanford...
... officially ended in December of 1994 when I graduated from the
Computer Science Department with a Master of Science degree. After
paying quite a bundle of money in tuition for the privilege to study
at and receive a graduate degree from one of the world's highly
reputed Computer Science departments, Stanford is generous enough to
let their graduates keep an account as a "home base." And since I am
living in the Stanford area, ostein@cs.stanford.edu is still my main
email address.
During my time at Stanford, my main focus was on
operating systems, databases, and computer networking. I TA'ed CS 140
(Concurrent Programming) and CS 110 (Computer Systems and Assembly
Language Programming) and was the summer instructor for CS 240A
(Operating Systems) in 1994.
