Who am I?
Yves-Antoine, Christophe, Zhenguo. Those are my various aliases and I guess legally they all work, but I mostly just go by Yves. Course most people can't pronounce that correctly so it makes it easy to tell when a telemarketer is calling. =) Then again, even some of the people I know have issues with it which is why I'm referred to in the plural form at times.
Now a little about me to fill up all this empty space. Born in Massy, France, a suburb just south of Paris, I've actually lived in California since the age of 2. Grew up in a place called La Verne in Southern California before heading off to the slightly cooler climes of Northern California to attend Stanford. (Go Stanford!) Graduated in 2000 and then again in 2001 with a BS and MS in Computer Science. Then I slaved away at Oracle for about 3.5 years (well, maybe "slaved" isn't quite the right verb, but I did my time) before changing jobs to work at Yahoo! where I'm at now. =) It's quite a bit more interesting and fun here I must say. =P
What do I do?
Well, as I said above, I work at Yahoo! these days in the Search Monetization group. The people I work with are pretty cool, which is always a big plus. =) Our group is located at the Mission College campus which actually made my commute even shorter after we moved. At work, I sit in my fun little cube and write code, which is good I guess, since that's what I learned to do in school. =P Can't go wasting that education y'know.
Outside of work, I have a somewhat set schedule. On Monday evenings I take a taichi class at Stanford and then have dinner with my friends in the class afterwards. Tuesdays now involve going back over our Chinese textbooks with Kat (let me know if you want to join us...) Wednesdays are in flux right now, although I think I'll be volunteering to tutor during July. Thursdays look to be playing tennis with Kristin, Yi-Ling and people they know. And then on Fridays sometimes there's a dance event (like Jammix!) or maybe climbing at Twisters if there isn't. Weekends are then pretty chill unless I get off my butt and play a little tennis.
Outside of my set schedules, I fill out the rest of my spare time doing a variety of activities. Obviously there's the playing of video games, less now that I'm not playing World of Warcraft, but mainly Civilization IV at the moment. Watching anime or tv shows on my computer also takes up some time, stuff like How I Met Your Mother along with Naruto and Bleach. Then there's reading. Both my fun reading of fantasy novels plus my non-fiction reading resolution focused mainly on financial books at the moment. Of course those are my individual activities, I actually do have friends you know... =P
You have friends?
Why yes, yes I do! =) Pretty good ones too, if you ask me, but I have to say I might be a little biased. A few of them even have a web presence, which you can see below. Of course some of them update their pages more than others, so I've taken the liberty of categorizing them by how frequently they have new content. And yes, I am my own friend. =)

Now if you have a web page or a blog or something, let me know so I can add a link. Clearly this is only directed at people I know, but then I'm pretty sure that the only people who would ever be reading this is people I know (and not many out of that group either). =P Plus, if you feel you have been improperly classified, you can also drop me a line. =)
