“Creativity is the process of discovering that which is not yet known to you, or making that which does not yet exist for you.” – Anonymous

For me, there are few things in life as rewarding as the process of creative design. From the initial brainstorming and sketching to the final presentation and renderings, a successful creative effort always gives me a strong sense of accomplishment. In particular, I feel that the first discoveries through visualizing, brainstorming, sketching, and prototyping are the most thrilling elements in the overall creative design process. Therefore, in all of my creative work, I focus the majority of my efforts on the initial development and growth of my ideas. Once my ideas have matured, the next steps of the design process flow easily and smoothly. And in the end, when I have a final product to show, I know that every second I spent designing and creating was worth it.

Creative design is the driving force behind beautiful architecture. Beauty in the architectural sense refers to both aesthetics and functionality. The challenging process of achieving this balance is what excites me about architecture. While still relatively new to this field, I have spent quality time in the last year exploring creative design as it is applied in architecture. My discoveries have only served to amplify my interest and motivate me to pursue a career in architecture. I am looking forward to further cultivating and developing my architectural design skills in a dynamic educational environment.

This portfolio exhibits some of my first endeavors into the architectural design process, from initial brainstorming to final presentation. In addition I have included some of my photography and sketches. I hope the material you are about to see will convey to you my enthusiasm, passion, and potential for architecture and creative design.
